On their morning walk, Zayd stretched his arms wide.

“The sky is sooo big!”

Amina looked up at the wide sky, and paused.

“Allah made the sky.”

Father looked up with them for a moment.

“SubḥānAllāh,” he said softly.

“So wide… and so beautiful.”

As they walked on, the sun shone brightly above them.

Amina squinted, and covered her eyes.

“The sun feels so bright.”

Father smiled, and held his hand out.

“But can you feel its warmth?”

“Allah placed the sun in the sky for warmth.”

Zayd stepped closer to the plants by the path.

“Look! The plants grow in the sun too!”

“Alḥamdulillāh,” Amina said quietly.

They kept walking.

After some time, the sky began to change.

Dark clouds gathered,

and raindrops fell.

Zayd held out his hands, and laughed.

“Rain!”

Amina watched the drops soak the ground.

“Look! Allah sends rain to help the trees and flowers grow.”

Father smiled,

and nodded slowly.
