This story invites children to explore how a single message can change friendship and how easy it is to spread something untrue and how choosing honesty can unexpectedly bring respect and trust.

Ali had worked hard on his school assignments, and to reward his efforts, his father gave him a new phone. Ali was excited to use it and quickly joined his group chat with his friends. One day, he received a message from his friend, Sami, about a rumor.

“Did you hear what Ahmed said about Omar?” Sami typed.

Ali, without thinking much, sent the message to the group:

“I heard that Ahmed said Omar was not doing well in school.” But then, as he read it again, he realized he had made a mistake. Ahmed had never said that! He felt uneasy.

The next day, his friend, Zaid, messaged him:

“Why did you say that about Omar? I don’t think it’s true.” Ali felt embarrassed and realized the importance of telling the truth, especially when sharing something about others.
