    Ibrahim ('alayhis-salam) Shows the Truth

Created things can come and go. But Allah is always there. He created us and only He, the most high, deserves our worship.

Prophet Ibrāhīm lived with people who prayed to idols.

    But idols are useless.

    They cannot hear.

    They cannot see.

    They cannot help.

Ibrāhīm ('alayhis-salaam) wanted his people to understand this,

so he showed them step by step.

One night, the sky was dark and full of shining stars.

Ibrāhīm ('alayhis-salaam) pointed to the stars and said:

    “This is my Lord.”

He said this only to make his people think.

When the stars disappeared, he told them:

“I do not love things that disappear.

    Stars cannot be Allah.”

Then the moon rose, bright and glowing.

    Ibrāhīm ('alayhis-salaam) said:

    “This is my Lord.”

He said this only to make his people think.

But when the moon went away, he explained:

    “The moon also goes away.

If Allah does not guide me, I will be lost.”
