Hud (ʿalayhis-salam) and the People of ‘Aad

True strength belongs to Allāh alone, not to people, power, or things.

    Page 1

A long time ago, after the time of Nūḥ (ʿalayhis-salām), there lived a powerful people called ʿĀd.

They were very strong and clever. They built big houses, beautiful gardens, and tall buildings. They could make almost anything they wanted.

But the people of ʿĀd forgot about Allāh (ʿazza wa jall) - the One who created them, gave them homes and land, and blessed them with strength. They instead started praying

to idols - big stone statues that could not speak, hear, or help them.

The people of ʿĀd were proud and unkind.

They looked down on others and said words of pride,

believing their power would last forever.

But in truth, Allāh is the Most Powerful.

He sees what people do and what they hide in their hearts.

He does not love pride or those who turn away from His remembrance.

So Allāh sent a Prophet from among them - Hūd (ʿalayhis-salām).

He said kindly, “O my people, worship Allāh! You have no god but Him.”

Prophet Hūd (ʿalayhis-salām) loved his people and wanted good for them.

He reminded them that their strength and success were gifts from Allāh,

but most of them only laughed and turned away.

A vast, organized valley showing the grandeur of a powerful civilization.
Wide terraced fields stretch across the land in symmetrical order, lined with irrigation channels.
Large, well-built stone dwellings rise firmly on higher ground, showing skill and pride.
The sunlight is bright and bold, almost overpowering — the land glows golden, while the sky in the distance fades into pale haze, hinting that they have forgotten the One who blessed them.
No people or idols shown.
(Mood: wealth, strength, and pride — strong contrast, commanding scale, warm gold with fading horizon, watercolor or gouache landscape style.)
